Day 1

Arrival

On arrival at the resort, we will give the guests a short briefing of their program, and assign them their rooms.

12:30 pm Lunch

A delicious lunch prepared by our team of expert kitchen staff will be served to our guests.

Tharu Village Walk
2:30 pm Tharu Village Walk

The Tharu people are indigenous to the area, and their culture is very unique, different from what can be found in Nepal or even India.

Guests can immerse into the local culture by strolling through the local Tharu village. This also includes a visit to the Tharu Cultural Museum. During this walk our naturalist will also brief them about the social and cultural aspect of the villagers and their lifestyle.

Happy hour followed by Sundowner
5:00 pm Sundowner

Guests can take a breather and enjoy the peaceful view of the river at our deck area, watching the wildlife and nature, lounge around the resort premises, order drinks at the bar, and just relax. The sunset is very beautiful as well, and is an experience that shouldn’t be missed.

06:30 pm A Wildlife Paradise

One of our wildlife experts will give a short presentation about Chitwan National Park. This presentation also includes more details about the local wildlife and also a brief history of the park. Guests are welcome to ask any questions.

Tharu Cultural Dance

Guests will able to enjoy the local Tharus from the village showcasing their traditional Tharu stick dance. The dance is an age-old tradition of the Tharus and is usually performed to appease the gods during religious festivals.

Dinner

Guests will be served a freshly cooked dinner prepared by our excellent kitchen staff.

Day 2

Wake up call
6:30 am

Guests will be given a wakeup call to get ready for the day’s activities.

8:30 am Breakfast

A scrumptious breakfast spread will be served to the guests.

Crocodile Conservation Project visit
08:30 am Crocodile Conservation Project visit

Guests will be taken to the Crocodile Conservation Project, an initiative to preserve and protect the endangered crocodiles of the park. Established in 1971, the Gharial (distinguished from other crocodiles by its narrow snout) conservation center has been breeding this endangered species and releasing them to the wild every year. Our naturalist will accompany them, guiding them and providing information about various methods and programmes being undertaken to increase Gharial population in the wild.

Canoeing
09:30 am Canoeing

After the visit to Crocodile Conservation Project, guests will be taken on a boating tour in a traditional Patela boat, which will take them down serenely along the Rapti river, which will also have aquatic birds, Gharials and other animals on the river banks. The boat ride lasts for approximately 45 minutes

Lunch
12:30 pm Lunch

A delicious lunch prepared by our team of expert kitchen staff will be served to our guests.

Jeep Safari
2:30 pm Jeep Safari

Guests can ride a jeep through the wilderness, experiencing the local wildlife for themselves. They will observe birds, flora, and fauna, like the one-horned Rhinoceros, countless species of deer, bisons, and if lucky, even the Royal Bengal Tiger. The whole experience lasts for 2-3 hours, after which the guests will return to the resort.

Jungle Walk

Guests can walk into the jungle, accompanied by our jungle expert. They can watch birds, flora, and fauna, and get a complete and intimate experience of nature for themselves.

7:30 pm BBQ Dinner

Guests will be served a BBQ dinner either in the central dining hall, or outside on the deck, depending upon their preference.

Day 3

Wake up call
6:30 am Wake up call

Guests can opt for an early wake-up call at 6:30 am, followed by tea / coffee and a short walk around the jungle or the village. Alternatively they can also opt for a late wake up call at 7:30 am.

Breakfast

A scrumptious breakfast spread will be served to the guests.

Departure
9:30 am Departure

Guests can depart to their next destination. The reception desk has an all equipped ticketing center and can help you with your bookings for flights / bus / jeep hires for your next destination.

    The actual program will be given to the guests once they arrive at Jungle Villa Resort.
  • During the safari, guests will be accompanied by our expert naturalist who will advise them on appropriate safety procedures. We humbly request them to respect their judgment at all times.
  • Guides can be available if you wish to go for a stroll through the jungle.
